Acknowledge: Day 2

Remember today that it was not your children (who have not known or seen the discipline of the LORD your God), but it is you who must acknowledge his greatness, his mighty hand and his outstretched arm.

Deuteronomy 11:2 NRSV

Thought

When you courageously rekindle your life from the ashes of sorrow, you acknowledge by action and deed that you have not been destroyed by the death of your loved one. As you begin to live fully beyond your grief, you acknowledge with profound gratitude that the grace of God is the very essence of love at work in your life.

Prayer

God, I acknowledge your greatness. I see your mighty hand at work in my life, even as you hold my hand. I feel your outstretched arm holding me in my grief. Amen.

Acknowledging the grace of God is a measure of my faith.
