“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” Luke 12:48 NIV

Thought

Stewardship—being a wise manager of your individual gifts and resources—is a biblical mandate. Indeed, managing the things of this world is a worthy endeavor; but in grief you have been entrusted with gifts that transcend the material. Because you have loved and lost, you have been given the inestimable gifts of grief. Though it may not seem so, you have acquired the wisdom of understanding on your journey through the valley of the shadow of death.

Prayer

God, I know that you have entrusted to me a great sorrow and the unexpected gifts of grief. May I discern your will for the stewardship of my individual gifts. Amen.

Assurance

No amount of money or property can compare to the gifts of my spirit.
