I walk before the LORD in the land of the living. Psalm 116:9 NRSV

Thought

There is no fast forward through grief. You may attempt great bounding strides, but grief will not be hurried. It cannot be circumvented. There is no easy detour around it. The slow, steady pace of a rhythmic walk ultimately sets the pace for the journey. Gratefully, the valley of the shadow of death leads through the land of the living.

Prayer

God, in grief I walk with my hand in yours. Thank you for your presence to me in the land of the living and for eternity. Amen.

Assurance

My journey toward acceptance is in the land of the living.
