Day 3 “You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.” Matthew 5:5 The Message

Thought

On the journey through grief, gradually you become reacquainted with yourself. You learn how to function without your loved one. Slowly you individuate. You see yourself for who you are, emotionally and spiritually. You learn more about confidence and self-affirmation. Introspection speaks to you of both weakness and strength. Perhaps you like the person you discover yourself to be and are content with who you are.

Prayer

God, I am grateful for accessible words of assurance. Through your grace I am the proud owner of everything that can’t be bought. Amen.

Assurance

If I am content with who I am, I have done the work of grief.
