“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.” Matthew 5:9 The Message

Thought

Your newfound sense of what is really important in life is a priceless gift of grief. The hard-won perspective of grief allows you to build a bridge for others into the way of peace and light. “You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you” (Matthew 5:4 The Message).

Prayer

God, on this day of rest for my soul, I am grateful that I have a place in your family. May I rest in you this day and always. Amen.

Assurance

When I invest myself in others and in life, I discover who I really am.
