Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides for ever. Psalm 125:1 ESV
Mount Zion is a geographic elevation, but the psalmist uses it here as a powerful image of unshakeable trust. It is almost impossible to move a mountain, a permanent part of the landscape formed by eons of natural creation. A mountain will not be moved by human force or will. Trust that is like Mount Zion cannot be moved by anyone or anything, not even grief. It simply is.
God, may my trust in you grow and abide forever. I am grateful for the assurance that trust cannot be moved. Amen.
The majesty of nature is a visual affirmation of my trust in God.
