Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? 2 Corinthians 13:5 NRSV

Thought

As you continue moving toward the end of grief, you may want to consider a personal inventory of who you are becoming along the way of your journey. Who are you in your inmost heart? What are the qualities of your soul? How would you describe yourself? How would you characterize who you are? Do you think that others see the same qualities in you? Do you believe one way yet live another? Are you living in greater faith because of grief? “[F]aith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17 NRSV).

Prayer

God, holding up the mirror of faith to my grief-worn heart is a test of Christ in me. I pray that I am living in faith more and more with each new day. Amen.

Assurance

I live in faith because Christ is in me.
