The LORD is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made. Psalm 145:9 NRSV

Thought

When you learn the hard-won lessons of humanity and compassion from grief, you are better able to join hands with others and communicate heart to heart: “I hurt with you; I share your pain; I love you.” Yours is the heart and voice of emotional and spiritual authenticity. The gift of compassion offered to others is never forgotten. There is perhaps no finer legacy than to endow those you love with a sensibility for compassion.

Prayer

God, grief has shown me that compassion is at the heart of your love. I am grateful that you have touched me and taught me deep within. Amen.

Assurance

Love stands when all else falls.
