For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

Thought

Your intensified sense of fear is an effect of grief. Because of the death of your loved one, your life seems unstable. Every new event and issue may challenge your very will to survive. Sometimes it is easier to succumb to fear than to defy it. Yet God has given you the gifts of power, love, and a sound mind.

Prayer

God, you have not given me a spirit of fear, yet I am fearful of so much. Grief tests my sound mind. You alone are power and love. Amen.

Assurance

I am endowed with power, love, and a sound mind.
