I will not die, but live . . .. The LORD . . . has not given me over to death. Psalm 118:17-18 NASB

Thought

When you consciously resolve to survive, your choice is surviving day to day or surviving for life. If you are empowered rather than debilitated by the experience of life and death, you want to survive—to be a Survivor with a capital S. Moving from Victim to Survivor is a milestone in grief. You are no longer a victim; rest this day as a grateful survivor. Meditate on the fullness of life.

Prayer

God, I choose to be a Survivor. You have not given me over to death. Your grace assures me that I will live through grief. Amen.

Assurance

Moving from Victim to Survivor is a personal triumph.
