We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed . . .
At times in grief you may find that your very will to survive is hard-pressed by the insistence of confusion and chaos. Grief may feel like an oppressive weight that threatens to destroy your very will to live. Though you are hard pressed, through the power of faith you are not crushed by grief.
God, I feel the weight of my hard-pressed grief. It could easily crush my soul and spirit. May I trust your strength rather than my own. Amen.
I will not be crushed by the chaos and confusion of grief.
