Courage: Day 6

“But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.”
2 Chronicles 15:7 NRSV

Thought

It gets your attention when someone points a finger and says “you.” The encouragement of the Bible is as real today as it was centuries ago. It is personal. It is meant for you. Grief is the work of bravery, courage, and restoration. Grief takes an effort; it is the individual work of your two strong hands held in faith by God.

Prayer

God, you strengthen my hands and heart for the work of grief. I am grateful that your call for courage is personal, meant for me. Amen.

Assurance

My renewed courage is a reward of my grief.
