God's Plan: Day 3

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face.
1 Corinthians 13:12 NRSV

Thought

God explains the mystery of trust using the imagery of a mirror. Although the surface of a mirror is reflective, it is opaque rather than transparent. What you see when you look into the mirror is no more and no less than yourself. There is no deeper image beyond or through the looking glass. In God’s all-wise, all-knowing, and all-seeing plan, God alone knows how your life fits into the larger plan of creation. Until the dimly reflected mirror image of life is illuminated by the full light of eternity, you abide in the mystery of trust.

Prayer

God, I long to know your plan and understand fully the mystery of life and death. I am grateful that in Christ I will one day see you face to face. Until then I trust in you. Amen.

Assurance

The nature of my heart is to love and trust.
