God explains the mystery of trust using the imagery of a mirror. Although the surface of a mirror is reflective, it is opaque rather than transparent. What you see when you look into the mirror is no more and no less than yourself. There is no deeper image beyond or through the looking glass. In God’s all-wise, all-knowing, and all-seeing plan, God alone knows how your life fits into the larger plan of creation.
