For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.
Psalm 62:5 NRSV
Grief leads to hope. One day you find yourself there. There are a few questions yet unresolved, but you are making your way down the road on the journey through grief. You look ahead, eager to move forward out of grief and back into the mainstream of life. You believe that there is a future; you discern at last that for which you should hope. You pray for strength to be in the world because you are changed and curiously fortified by the experience of grief. Grief can be the most honest and faithful place you stand to find hope.
God, my hope is from you alone. My soul waits for you in silence, ready to receive the gift of hope. Amen.
The light of hope is my strength, my joy, and my peace.
