Loneliness: Day 3

“Let me alone; my days have no meaning.”
Job 7:16 NIV

Thought

Your response to grief and loneliness may be utter dejection. Loneliness can drive you to a solitary place deep within. The loneliness of grief can leave your spirit tear-stained and aching. You may prefer to be alone for a while to consider your life and its meaning. Faith assures you that all of life does have meaning. Listen for God’s voice within the silence of your grief.

Prayer

God, I falter in my spirit; I want to be alone. I question whether my life has meaning without my loved one. I listen for your voice within my loneliness. Amen.

Assurance

My life does have meaning.
