Others: Day 6

Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
Psalm 40:3 NRSV

Thought

The question remains: How do you restore trust in those you feel have been perhaps less than emotionally trustworthy through your grief? As humans, we are all imperfect. We say things better left unsaid; we blurt out words we later regret saying. Because of your acute emotional need for authentic understanding, your sensitivity to the imperfections of others is heightened by grief. The door is opened when you release the real or imagined offenses of others and live forward in renewed trust.

Prayer

God, I am coming through the dark valley of grief. I am grateful that fear has not imperiled my trust in you. Amen.

Assurance

The fear of grief is overpowered by trust.
