Peace: Day 3

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.

Thought

Christ calmed the confusion of his disciples about his life and impending death with words of peace. He affirmed that peace is his legacy. He gave them the gift of peace. He explained that his peace is different from that of the world. His peace is eternal. Christ understood the fear and confusion of anticipatory grief. Today and every day, God assures you of the peace of Christ.

Prayer

God, in peace I experience the power and presence of Christ. I am grateful for your eternal inheritance of peace. Amen.

In Christ I have living peace.
