Self: Day 6

. . . and for this reason I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know the one in whom I have put my trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that day what I have entrusted to him.
2 Timothy 1:12 NRSV

Thought

Learning again to trust yourself is born of three things: desiring hope, longing for joy, and receiving peace. When you trust with all of your heart, you trust in expectation. When you trust in expectation, you trust with belief. The rebirth of trusting yourself is daring to accept God’s love and to trust in God’s goodness.

Prayer

God, you are the one in whom I put my trust. I am grateful for the assurance that you guard my soul within the trust of yours. Amen.

Assurance

I entrust my life to the guardianship of God.
