Struggle: Day 2
No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it.

Thought
You may never understand what goes on under the sun, especially on this side of heaven. You struggle with and through grief in order to survive and live again. The assumption of grief is that you are supposed to “do” something to help yourself. Effort and trying are the assumptions of doing when really all you may want to “do” is succumb to heartbreak. You struggle with the meaning of death and life. Faith is the only answer that makes sense.
Prayer
God, you are all-wise. You alone know and understand that which I will never comprehend. I question and ask. I struggle to live in you faithfully. May I do less and trust you more. Amen.
Assurance
As I struggle to endure grief, slowly I triumph over it.
