We work and struggle for this: “Our hope is set on the living God, who is the savior of all people, especially those who believe.”
1 Timothy 4:10 CEB
You struggle, compelled every day to do the hard work of grief again and yet again. You “try on” new ways to live, perhaps alone for the first time in life. You “try out” new people. You try to adapt to the expectations of others. You try new experiences. You try to go on with life. All the work and struggle of grief are for this: hope.
God, my hope is set on you, the living God. Though I struggle and, at times, feel dead, I believe that you save me unto life. Amen.
I hope and believe.
